Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God and is our standard for faith and practice.

We believe in God, who is eternal, creator, redeemer and sustainer. He is revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Trinity).

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and gave His life on the cross as an atonement and sacrifice for sin. We believe in His bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father and future return to the earth as both Lord and King.

We believe that all have sinned. There is only one way to be forgiven, justified and restored to right relationship with God. We must repent (turn from our sin) and believe on Jesus Christ (turn to Christ as our Savior). Through Christ we have salvation—forgiveness, wholeness, and eternal life.

We believe satan is a spirit being, a fallen angel and the first created being to sin. He is the enemy of God and mankind and strives to separate the two. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. However, Jesus destroyed the works of the devil and the church has been commissioned to enforce that victory through faith in God’s Word. We are “victors” not “victims.”

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer. However, the baptism or infilling of the Holy Spirit is an enduement with power which is available to every Christian. This is received by faith and is received subsequent to conversion. The evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit is a deeper, overflowing love, greater power to witness and increased manifestation of spiritual gifts. These gifts are to glorify the Lord and edify others and should always be exercised in balance and order.

We believe that Jesus is the builder of the church which is composed of all true believers who have trusted in Christ. We believe in the local church, which consists of a company of believers united in vision, fellowship, and ministry. We believe that tithes and offerings are God’s ordained way to support the ministry and increase His kingdom. We believe obedient believers are blessed.

We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the lost. We believe in the reality of heaven—prepared for those who have accepted Christ. We believe in the reality of hell—prepared for those who have rejected Christ.

We believe in the two ordinances (sacraments) of the church:

Water Baptism—every believer should be baptized in water as a public profession of his or her faith in Christ.

Lord’s Supper (Communion) should be celebrated as a symbol and avenue of God’s grace to celebrate the New Covenant.

We believe that a Christian should live to glorify God and enjoy Him forever!  We are to conduct our lives with integrity and authenticity as we pursue godliness and spiritual maturity. We are called to impact our nation and world by proclaiming and demonstrating life in Christ.
